This flashlight is totally unique! In normal use, it functions as a super bright LED flashlight using 2 internal button cell batteries. The batteries will run this flashlight continuously for over 48 hours! But once the batteries die, the second power source takes over, and all you do is shake it to charge the secondary power backup.
Shake this flashlight end to end, and the shaking motion causes a high power magnet to move inside the flashlight. The magnet passes through a coil to generate electricity. The energy is passed to an internal capacitor where the energy is stored. The LED technology used in this flashlight is so efficient, the LED is then powered from the electricity stored in the capacitor. Shake it, and the secondary power source takes over to run the flashlight even if the primary batteries die!
